Thanks for the swift replys
Ive found a fuse blown which appears to be related to the lighting problem i have, however it should have been a 5a and its been replaced with a 10a at some point. (I was looking for the 5a ones lol). Im hoping the short happened when i pushed the new bulb holder...

Hello all
Ive got a weird fault that i cant figure out on my electrics.
Problem started with the rear offside tail light, the bulb blew and when i changed the bulb it showed up what i thought was an earth fault with the bulb holder. (The brake lights stayed on, and weird things happened when...

The paint job is better than when it came out the factory!

Passing the MOT with zero advisories. :high5:
Owe the MOT tester a drink, he let me follow him round and sort minor bits whilst it was still in the test.

Halfords will not stock what you need, order what you need through a proper landrover parts dealer.
I find its best to have every part ready just incase a worst case scenario crops up.

You know you have rot issues when the patches repairing the rot, rot through!

I was dead lucky with mine, it genuinely did have LR FSH. All receipts, invoices etc. One of the previous owners even had a running total of repairs written on the back of one invoice. Over 4k just on maintenance!
None of that stopped mine breaking down though!

Another update!
Got 1/2mile down the road and the noise returned! Jacked it up and the bearings had play in it so have tightened them up now and all seems good.

I bought a 300tdi 2.5 years ago and its cost me a front axle rebuild, new chassis and a few other bits.
Theres alot of **** out there so take your time whe looking.
You'll either be looking a pretty decent tdi or a reasonable td5 for 6k

An empty wallet every month

Yer, happy days. Also sorted the lack of working fuel guage too so quite productive for me!

All sorted - twas the dust cover catching the disk. I checked the front section of the dust cover but didnt look at the back section.
Thanks to all

I take the landy to a reputable local garage who specialise in 4x4s. Last MOT they did for me they did a few minor repairs foc. They then failed it on rust but hey ho.
The missus focus on the other hand goes to "We only MOT" always gets a pass funnily enough!

Shouldnt be, it had new disks and pads when i did the axle rebuild and ive only done about 4k miles on it if that.
Im going to have to jack the corner up and pop the wheel off methinks
-
I was hoping it was just the brake shield but i pulled over at tesco and bent it out and its still the same.
Ive not had a chance to get right under with the wheel off yet so im hoping thats all it is. The bearings on the front axle are only about 18months old after i snapped a CV on the other...
