You need to cut the crocs off the compressor cables and replace with an anderson or durite connector to mate the the one on your bulkhead as per the big image. It's purely a convenience thing.

I have the hazard and an annoying 3-position one that does dash lights, or interior light, or all off. I want to separate them so that the dash lights are on one circuit and the int light on another. There is no third switch!
