I've knackered one of my Camac Terra 4x4 205R16 tyres, so prolly need to replace both fronts. Any suggestions as to what to buy and where to pay a decent price? Vehicle is used to tow horses locally and occasionally we go into muddy fields to park, so mega off-roading tyres not needed!!
Many thanks

I'd go for a full set of either 235 85 16 BFG AT's or something similar ... ;)

On road and towing horses suggests it might not be worth skimping on the rubber ....

Going to a 235 might have issues depending on your tow bar and the coupling on the trailer. A 235 is a standard size tyre. But it is significantly taller than a 205.

As for which tyres.... how long is a peice of string. What is your budget and how close are you wanting to match the other pair? It makes little sense to run radically different tyres per axle.

Cant go far wrong with a set of 7.50's the Avon range masters or Michelin zxl's can both be picked up as nearly new takes off for not a lot of money on on ebay, and were both original fitment by land rover with the Michelins used by the MOD.

I can vouch for the zxl, great on road, off road , lethal in snow, ten years and still going strong!

I have zxl's on the series and think they are great and did not find they were a problem in the snow, but that was in a series not a defender so a different driving style.
