Hi my td6 starts fine every time wont rev above 3000 rpm,local dealer said it was electric fuel pump, replaced fuel pump in tank and fuel pump behind n/s rear wheel still has same fault any ideas ????.

1st head was a recon head ,orginal rad cracked,bought new genuine rad 14 months later engine got hot cracked head,had rad checked found baffle plate came loose in top of rad,bought new head and fitted,new water pump,thermostat,and now fitted v8 rad,fingers crossed now.

sounds like you got a air lock in the system,i had the same with my dse took ages to get the air out

sounds a bit like the bmw lump, 2 heads and 3 radiators !!!

i am that fed up with my dse giving engine troubles,i am thinking about ripping out the bmw motor and fitting a v8 petrol engine how much work is involved in doing this ??????:mad:

Hi my p38 dse whilst driving everything is ok then all of a sudden the engine revs up by about 1000 rpm on its own then dies back down then cuts out engine warning light comes on, engine wont restart leave it for a couple minutes starts again light goes out, engine runs fine till the next time...

most air con systems loose 10% of there gas per year

my orange light is on and engine has lost power,put snap on scanner on it ,came up with injection lift sensor fault code 142 came up i have fitted new injector,light is still on and dont have any power,when i am driving rangerover is running lumpy, anyone have any ideas where i should look next...

i went to start it today it fired up right away ran fine nice and smooth for about 30 minutes then started running lumpy started to sound harsh then stopped went to start it the engine warning light was on wouldnt start waited for a few minutes then it started and ran fine again ?????

i have just replaced the head on my dse engine started up fine ran smooth for about 30 minutes i ran engine upto about 2500 revs engine stopped and wont start again any ideas ???????:confused:

will a engine out of a n reg bmw 525td 6 cylinder fit a p38 ??

my 1998 p38 dse has got a cracked head ,anyone know where i can get one for a decent price ???

i have removed the covers and it looks like the injector return pipes are leaking and running over the block,this morning it took a long time to start and pick up like there was a lack of fuel is it possable this could be tied in with the return pipes??
