So been out working today.Quick trip 20 miles up M1 and back to a job then parked up at next job only to find once i had unloaded my tools that the car wouldnt lock. Didnt have time to worry about it till i had finished.
Tried to start nothing all dash on as normal all lights went out apart...

Just tootling along today all instruments just went off. Water temp, rev ,speed and fuel guages dead. The fuel warning light flickered back on now and then along with LCD for mileometer. The whole lot came back on a couple of times for 30 seconds so i cant see it being a fuse issue. Has anyone...

I thought they were single flares as James says, but i keep reading single flares shouldnt be used on brake pipes

I am replacing all the rear brake pipes on my d1 200tdi. However i am struggling to identify what flares i need for the t-piece that fits to the rear diff bracket. Cant decide if its a single flare or din flare to go on the pipes that feed the calipers. Anyone on here know ?

Been chasing a vibration on my 200tdi for a couple weeks now. Think i have pinned it down to the rear diff. The nose where the prop shaft is attatched feels warm after a run though the whole of the main casing feels cool. What does this indicate could the bearing that i assume is there be worn...

So i have just spent a couple of evenings on here looking at steering box threads but not really found the answer to my question.
My steering has a lot of free play before anything happens i would guess 40 to 50 degrees.The steering itself is fine after this no noises and lock to lock ok.All...

Hijacking a bit here but has anyone found anywhere in the UK that does the carling switch with a fan on it.Plenty in Australia but havnt found any in UK yet .

Access is pretty limited on a TD4 for everything in my book then again i do have a D1 200TDI as well which i can woerk under quite happily while its on its wheels and have been known to climb into the engine bay itself to refit the cylinder head.
