    7.50 x 16 Series 3 (Wolf Rim?) Tyres

Managed to find a good set of 5 General Grabber tyres (thanks CIW2032) and got these fitted at the weekend. They went on a treat and make a huge difference on the road. One thing that didn't occurr to me until I was ringing around trying to find somewhere to fit them though, I needed an...

    Ignition key cutting

I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but mine has a metal head. It's not in front of me right now but I'll see if I can get a picture posted up today. From looking at your link the actual key part looks the same though. My S3 is a 1976 diesel, for whatever difference that will make. Nick

    Ignition key cutting

Hi Guys, I'm having an awful time finding somewhere to get a spare key cut for my S3 ignition. I must have tried a half dozen places, a couple who seemed to go the extra mile trying to special order blanks, but it seems they are hard to come by? Anyone know where I can order a blank key or...

    7.50 x 16 Series 3 (Wolf Rim?) Tyres

Been a while and I'm still looking for a decent but CHEAP set of 235/85/16's which are mostly suited for the road. Had a search setup on flea-bay but these seem to go for plenty bucks part worn! I only do a few (3-5k) miles a year and mostly all on-road. I've found someone punting some...

    Fuel Guage - guestimate

I've had the exact same problem. Even bought a new instrument cluster to test out the guage. Turned out to be faulty +ve wiring to the guage. The sender unit is just a variable resistor but in my mind I always pictured this on the +ve side of the circuit. In fact, is resist on the return...

Full Tilt Canvas needed for 109

Hi guys, Recently picked up a cheap set of sticks, a tailgate and all the bits and bobs (I think) needed to accomodate a canvas to replace my van top on my 109. I'd like a canvas with windows. The S3 is the dark blue colour (not sure of it's official name), so I think a dark/black canvas would...

235/85/16's will drop straight onto those steels? No tubes? Fancy!

    7.50 x 16 Series 3 (Wolf Rim?) Tyres

Ah, useful info, thanks. That's what you get for relying on a search hit in eBay! So, quetion still stands, what are the best options for new rubber to stick on my Weller 8 spokes? :)

    Fuel Guage

Hi, Had the tank and pickup/sender unit replaced on my LWB S3 (Diesel). since then, the fuel gauge has been out of order. The gauge was always showing off the meter full after I picked it up. Once I refilled her (after conking out with no fuel) the gauge shows off the meter empty...

    7.50 x 16 Series 3 (Wolf Rim?) Tyres

Hi All, Apologies in advance for my tyre technology ignorance! Need to replace all of the tyres on my old SIII. Plenty of tread but side walls are cracked and perished (been like that since I've owned her but time to get them sorted). I think the rims are wolf rims (picture attached)...

Series III LWB Rear Tank Plastic Replacement

Hi Guys, I need to replace the diesel tank on my S3 LWB (1976). Are there any plastic replacements or am I stuck with having to use a heavy metal part? I've had a look at the usual suspects websites but not found much useful? TIA, Nick
