Repaired the rotten section on offside wheel arch.. started on the nearside. Also started a bit of a general front end tidy up - drying out headlamps and replacing breathers, new fog lights etc. Also going to have the winch fairlead plate, winch tray and support arms (behind the grille)...

Ive seen this mentioned a few times - I presume this is down to the taller effective 'gear' ratio? Might have to setup a way of monitoring EGT...

Sounds like a plan to me.. Am I right in thinking that all k02's have both white one side and black on the other? Don't suppose you've got a pic with the 245s fitted? Cheers

You're a star - I was being a bit thick (nothing unusual there!) - checked the BCU settings and the seat belt warning was enabled - turned it off, perfect - the 6 beeps have gone!

Tried it with seatbelt on, still the same unfortunately! Also had a quick look for the cause of the oil pressure light not working... Found a connector by the oil pump with the wires pulled out - wouldn't be surprised if this was done when taking the gearbox out just before I brought it...

Sorry mate, was done just before I brought the truck! Someone I know just had their clutch done on a td5 defender, think he paid around £1400 in total with parts and a couple of leaky seals being sorted etc...

Oddly, it seems to have got worse over the last week or so... The noise is there anytime I go near the clutch in any gear. Ive heard about them needing to be reamed sometimes... I suppose it'll be unlikey to 'bed in' with time? If not, I reckon I'll have to do it soon - pretty embarrassing...

I belive a previous owner had changed some of the BCU settings relating to the multi-stage unlocking.. will test the seatbelt theroy and disable it if this proves to be the case. transfer neutral switch works, however the warning is not activated. Apologies for being slow.. I'm not sure what...

Evening all, please could somebody explain the 6 beeps when turning on the ignition? I seem to recall the 3 that follow after starting the engine are for SLABS, however I've no idea about the first set! Please see video:
