  • Hi was wondering if anyone can offer some advice.

I have freelander 54 plate TD4, about a month ago after a service the engine management light came one and started to run lumpy and smoke. Took it to the garage and it was diagnosed with fault P1E30 boost control or boost control valve.

So I have changed the boost control valve on the turbo and the inlet manifold sensor, no change, light still on and no power.

I was referred to a 4x4 specialist, who disconnected the MAF sensor and blocked the pipe to the EGR valve, result turbo now working OK and generally power restored...

But.... Warning light still showing and can not be reset, car runs lumpy on tickover but then OK after a few minutes. I've also changed the coolant pressure sensor as a web link indicated this might be at fault.

Also changed all vacuum pipes and no splits in any turbo pipes, rest of car is standard with no mods.

so several £100,s later and still a poorly landy.... Any ideas....
