i think i`ll get a standard exhaust and get it switched off in the becm then, would my becm be able to have that done, as mine is open i dont have or need an eka code, less sensors to go wrong the better

hi all, well i ordered a new cat section came today. the motor factor used my reg number and sourced me the part, it looks the same only i need 4 sensor points maybe 2 lambda and 2 oxygen ? , my exhaust has 4 2 before the cats 2 after, now i was sure this was only on 1999 onwards models...

Cat rattle when hit. Brocken up inside , I fitted a new fuel filter , the cps was loose fitted a new one tight made engine run sweet. It still won't rev past 3k so this must be down to a fooked cat? Certainly plenty of gasses coming out both exhausts , I'm tempted to cut the rattle out and see...

Well when I had the coil prob the cat overheat light came on and there was smoke out engine they were red hot . If there gubbed would this affect performance ? As in revs .?

and when running idling. i hear a rattle like nuts and bolts in an old biscuit tin,

well, i`m thinking a dodgy coil again or coil wiring but anyone think if anything else id be gratefull the original fault was coils blowing, which i traced to frayed wired going to the coil pack, i fitted new leads and a new coil and sorted the wired using the blue quick join clips, it then...

cheers guys the fault it seems it number 3 ht coil, as i was working my way through disconnecting the leads starting up and seeing what lead/coil was affecting the engine, well had the 2 leads from this coil un plugged and no difference at all so no spark, i`m going to swap the individual...

fingers crossed, if wasnt so dark id swap it now, roll on springtime...

never touched the fuel filter ever and have been running it vvv low on fuel, hmmm i wonder if its starvation. air filter is a kand n induction, wiring i re done today but not convinced, may need take all plugs out and check another coil hasnt failed again
