well, i`m thinking a dodgy coil again or coil wiring but anyone think if anything else id be gratefull

the original fault was coils blowing, which i traced to frayed wired going to the coil pack, i fitted new leads and a new coil and sorted the wired using the blue quick join clips, it then started spluttering again. one wire wasnt getting a good contact, so i cut out all the crap and re joined, its still not revving well it drives i just done 30 miles in it but has no power going up hill, barely revs above 3k
i will check every plug tomorrow , and try trace a fault that way, i have a crank sensor coming as the original one is 15 years old now

any ideas welcome

Well when I had the coil prob the cat overheat light came on and there was smoke out engine they were red hot . If there gubbed would this affect performance ? As in revs .?

If they'e collapsed, and it sounds like something in the exhaust has, then they could be blocking the exhaust so the engine couldn't breath properly so yes you're performance would be down.

+1
Just slide under it and give the cats a bang with your hand! If owts loose you'll hear it

(For the benefit of the animal lovers im talking about the metal ones under a car not the furry ones!! also often found under cars lol)

Cat rattle when hit. Brocken up inside , I fitted a new fuel filter , the cps was loose fitted a new one tight made engine run sweet.
It still won't rev past 3k so this must be down to a fooked cat? Certainly plenty of gasses coming out both exhausts , I'm tempted to cut the rattle out and see if the revs go higher
