I’ve got a live on the out pile of the reverse switch, but dead at the lamp. If I was to run another wire...what goes where? Take the live straight from the switch and then an earth to the lamp. Ideot level instructions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

Evening, impending MOT and no reverse light! I bought a new light unit as had thought the terminals had rotted (1990, 90) but it appears that would be too easy. I’ve metered the switch on the gearbox and it has 12v+ going through it OK, so was planning to run a new wire rather than hunt the...

Rather then try to resell it, and buy a new one, think I’ll try to get flat plat cut. I’m gessing around 4-6mm plate would do the job? Do you need to cut holes for casters and nuts on the back of the plate, or just space it off??

Thanks 1988smithy I think the extra depth must be for the recessed tailgate for the pick up...grrrrr. Will need a flat plate and swap the fittings. Thanks for your response.

Hi I’m consulting the collective oracles, as the steering in my 1990 ‘90 appears to have become a little more ‘twitchy’ lately. It’s nothing alarming, but just feels like it responds to smaller inputs and then I need to correct, and before you know it it all feels a little wobbly! Any thoughts...

Hello...first post, and have exactly the same issue as James. Bought a 90 2 months ago, told it was a 2.5td, turns out it’s had a heart transplant for a 200tdi. Same sender issue...reading hot but not hot. How easy is it to replace the sender and gauge together? Do I need to worry about losing...
