Ah right thanks for that, i did manage to get some glue on one of the tabs and secured it with a cable tie till the glue dries. I hought id get it from behind the inner wheel arch cover removed but then you are blocked by the screen wash bottle.

I went to change a fog light bulb on the front of the Freelander 2, started undoing the screws on the bulb housing when the housing just came away from the bumper.
Anyway just wondering if the bumper has to come off to repair tbe holder or can it be done without removing the bumper

Ok found the clips for the towing eye cover so the new cover is now on, Mudflaps i need to order another set of front ones with the brackets. £70 from Land Rover or £16.50 ebay

Well at least i know what to look for next time, ive ordered a spare MAF sensor just on the off chance, It was getting to the point of selling her on but now its sorted she is a beauty to drive.

Apparently faulty MAFsensors dont show up on code readers, how true that is i do not know

Just an update on this guys, i took the Freelander back to where we bought it and i told him to sort it. I told him what i had renewed on her and that he can keep it as long as he needs to sort it. So we left it with him, Two weeks later we are informed the vehicle has been with an auto...

Well bought a new pedal assembly that made no difference,, was told to try Crankshaft Position Sensor, still no difference. . So its been back to the place i bought it from and they have told me they have taken it to an auto electrician

An update on this, the mechanic has now experienced the hesitation as i left the car with him for a few days. No fault codes coming up, however on live data it is showing thatthe accelaration curve is not a nice smooth curve, its stepped. So he thinks it is the throttle pedal potentiometer thats...

No the ones i have are definately the standard ones, ill just nip to a Land Rover Dealer and get a set from there. I stillcould do with some pictures of the the towing eye cover plastic clip holders, i just need to see what those two plastic screw type clips actually go into on the main bumper

Thats where i bought the mudflaps from, unfortunately they dont do the steel brackets for the screws to screw into

well ive had it back to the dealer i bought it from, not a Land Rover dealer i might add, they couldn't find anything wrong with it nothing showing up when its plugged in, and also my other mechanic who said the same thing.
Personally im thinking it could be fuel pump as it only does it when...
