Towing eye cover and mudflaps

Since our purchase of our Freelander 2, we noticed the front towing eye cover missing and we thought we would buy some mudflaps.
We purchased them both from ebay, and the other day i thought id get cracking on fitting them. Towing eye cover shouldnt be to big a job, which it wasnt, however i noticed that when i come to turn the plastic clips into the bumper, the back of the cover still hung down.
Upon inspection i noticed that there is just a small square hole with nothing for the screw clips to fasten onto

Any idea if there are some clips missing,

Now the mudflaps, we purchased front and rear from ebay and they came with no instructions. After browsing YouTube for some tips, i noticed that there are no steel brackets for the front mudflaps. I have browsed ebay for just the brackets but with no joy, even the company i bought the mudflaps from dont do the brackets. is this a main dealer purchase only or is there some company out there that does these seperate?

anybody post me a picture of what their bumper looks like with the tow eye cover removed so can get an idea what clips should be there for the cover screws to turn into?

May be of some help, found this site selling the mudflaps, with some screws and them slidy over things!
If its those you need they should be easy enough to obtain

Thats where i bought the mudflaps from, unfortunately they dont do the steel brackets for the screws to screw into

Do you mean they supply the screws in the pic but not the spire clips?

Eh?, do they not just screw through arch into the clips as kermit mentions above?

No the steel brackets are what im after for the front mnudflaps as in this video

Are you sure you have the correct flaps?
The first link i put up is for the mud flaps that go with their body kit

show the metal support bracket, but look like they're out of stock at the moment.

No the ones i have are definately the standard ones, ill just nip to a Land Rover Dealer and get a set from there. I stillcould do with some pictures of the the towing eye cover plastic clip holders, i just need to see what those two plastic screw type clips actually go into on the main bumper

Ok found the clips for the towing eye cover so the new cover is now on, Mudflaps i need to order another set of front ones with the brackets. £70 from Land Rover or £16.50 ebay
