I don't know how much you want to spend...but faced with the same problem on 98 Disco, I took it to the Bristol Sunroof Centre and they fixed both sunroofs for about 300 quid. A year and a half later still no leaks.

Thanks very much to both of you...with a very red face I have to admit that I didn't rtfm, and I had no idea it only worked in low ratio. I had a Freelender a few year ago, which didn't have a low ratio box, and hence hdc worked when you pushed the button. I will try it as soon as I get back...

I bought my V reg TD5 quite cheaply last year, and since then the hill descent control has never worked. Before I ask a mechanic to have a look at it, are there any simple checks I should make to try and fix it, or is it all too complicated for an amateur to attempt? Mark
