What is this in the engine bay

Thanks folks. Have googled and concur. I think they're meant to be clipped in somewhere rather than loose. I'll work it out. The reason I thought these were part of a vacuum unit is that I own an old Porsche 928 which has this kind of wierd stuff going on.

What is this in the engine bay

Anyone know what this is loose in the engine bay? There are actually two of them both disconnected. They route up from underneath. It was raining so I didn't crawl down for a look. Looks possibly like they're part of some vacuum system. Cheers Mike

Disaster petrol in diesel TD5 Defender

Picked up the landy today. It's as if nothing happened. Running fine. Whilst I wouldn't recommend it, it seems that if you have a complete brain fart and put petrol in your TD5 you may well get away with it unscathed.

Disaster petrol in diesel TD5 Defender

Just got news from the garage and sounds like good news. Fuel drained, new filter and diesel added. Landy is running. All in £80. Will pick up tomorrow and see how well it is running.

Disaster petrol in diesel TD5 Defender

So had a disaster yesterday. After a long day in a rush to head up north the fuel light came on in the Defender TD5. Filled the tank full with premium unleaded so mostly petrol in the tank minus whatever is in reserve when the light comes on. I then drove several miles without realising my...

    classic insurance on 300tdi

Peter James should insure it if it is 1998 or older. Agreed value up to 15k without the need to get it independently valued. Had a full agreed value pay out from them in the past.

    Front wheel hubs

Could it be drive flange/half shaft wear?

    acoustic engine blanket

There is a seller on ebay selling these precut. Also for the footwell and the rear, etc. The footwells would probably be easy enough to cut yourself but the bonet liner looks a bit more detailed.

New Landy wanting a 90 or 110 defender any available sales or advise taken, bit clueless please help

Check the mot history online of any car you plan to go and see. I think seven years is available online. A few I checked had failures year after year on chassis rust issues with passes shortly after. Suggests to me that they were rot boxes getting patched up every year that would eventually...

    Replaced callipers

Any chance the master cylinder got damaged while bleeding the brakes with the pedal? Never happened to me but I believe if you extend the pedal past its normal length of travel while bleeding you can blow the seal in the master.

    Just bought a 90

A couple of pics of the Defender up at dunkeld. With and without snow. Think the seal burst on my clutch master cylinder on the way up as there was a puddle of black break fluid under the pedal made it home the next day no problem. I'll get the slave changed as well. Can't do this myself right...

    Another scam?

A lot of them around at the moment. Always way under priced, low feedback and prefer email contact. See them on gumtree too.

    Just bought a 90

Yeah I'm not going to go too crazy on the bling as one thing will lead to another. Will be prioritising any deferred maintenance and look to tidy things up a little.

    Just bought a 90

Well I also own a 27 year old Porsche 928 S4 so I must be crazy. On the bright side land rover parts seem a bit cheaper

    Just bought a 90

Well the plan was that this was to be a purely functional vehicle to help with my house move and refurbishment. However I can see it becoming a bit of a hobby car. I'm already searching the web for things I can spend some money on to make little improvements and upgrades. Needlandy, I may take...
