A lot of them around at the moment. Always way under priced, low feedback and prefer email contact. See them on gumtree too.

So how does the scam work? Are they hoping somebody will see a "bargain" sold by somebody who "does not know values" and pay before they see it?

Surely nobody in their right mind would pay before viewing the vehicle. Maybe they just ask for a few hundred "holding deposit" via bank transfer and make their money that way?

Oh right l misread the post, l read it as something to do with farming....but l see it now.

There are quite a few. The most recent scams ask you to pay the full price and they will ship it to you but quote the fact that you are covered through ebay if it goes wrong, even though it wouldn't actually be through ebay as it is classified and I *think* you have to use paypal.

The other main one at the moment is just harvesting contact details, you can usually tell those by the ones that ask you to email them in the listing.
