Wipac LED head lights. Any good?

Personally, I'd use the cheapest fillament headlight I can find. That way, when you inevitably clobber some wildlife, replacing is quick, cheap and easy!

    LED Headlights

I have to vote for a quality, branded lamp. I put J W Speaker's on mine, and haven't regretted it. You'll need to spend a few quid, but the difference in output and definition of the beam is chalk vs cheese. (I know as I put a 'cheap' set off Ebay on first, and they wouldn't have passed the MOT)

    Help...buying my first Defender...

I will only give you two pieces of advice when buying your first Defender..... 1) Make sure you have plenty of money in your bank account 2) Ensure you have good breakdown cover in place.

    LED headlights

To be fair, I think you should look less at the rules and regulations, and more at the performance of the lights. I purchased a set of these 'cheap' Chinese lights about 3 years ago, and had them fitted by a friendly mechanic with beam alignment equipment in his workshop. The results were...

London LEZ - Guide to getting an exemption

I found this useful TFL site https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/low-emission-zone/check-if-your-vehicle-is-affected I checked my 1998 90 300Tdi CSW, and it's exempt. Strange really, as ever since I tweaked the fuel pump following installation of an Allisport intercooler, it smokes like a pre-war...

    Beyond redemption?

If it were mine, i'd be looking at a galvanised chassis. But, then i'm a sentimental old thing, and i'll never part with my Defender. Mine will be kept going, no matter what the cost is.....

Nice to know that it's not just mine that leaks! :D

    Fuel consumption

    In car electric heaters

Winterizing a Defender? So far on or in my 1998 300tdi CSW I have:- AlliSport upgraded heater matrix (expensive, but very very good when the engine gets hot) Bison Heated Front Windscreen (so I can see where I'm going before the engine gets hot) Exmoor Trim Rad Muff (to help get the engine hot...

    Led Headlights

I must be honest and say that when driving on dipped beam (as i do 80% of the time at night) the amount of light, the definition of the beam and the beam colour is vastly superior to the standard halogen units. While i understand the price is high, and the appearance not to all tastes, the extra...

    Led Headlights

I have a pair of J W Speaker 8700's in mine. They are light years (excuse the pun!) ahead of the standard headlights they replaced. At £500 a pair, they're quite a commitment, but in opinion worth the investment.

Tried to save time, going to cost a bomb

Although I have a County Station Wagon, so don't need any windows, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Masai in Litchfield. Ferzan, Sally and the team are great to deal with. I've had a roof rack and winch bumper off them recently, and it's been a delight to deal with them. I wonder if their...

LED Headlights - Which are best?

I have to vote for the J W Speaker 8700 Evo 2 series. I have a pair in my 1998 90 300tdi. The dipped beam is very directional, very focused and very, very bright. The light is also a beautiful colour that is very easy on the eye. Full beam is as close to daylight as you'll get. They do cost a...

How long should heated screen take

Heavy ice on mine is about 3 minutes. Mist is about 90 seconds. Wouldn't go back to a non-heated if you paid me.

What have you done to your Landie today.

What have I done to it? Sworn lots, and called the AA :(
