I've searched on here and I still have a fuzzy head. I think it's best if I ask what led headlights people have rather than ask which ones are the best. So what do people use and any links would be much appreciated? Thank you.

I've got some 7" led's I can't recall name but like 4 lil circles inside the main headlight, then got an rdx clear set to fit for the remaining lights. Which was 200 quid and came with the led relay can't remember headlight price. Was ages ago got them cheap the RDX set is good for price. Has plinths etc all included. There's more expensive led sets which are better but for 200 couldn't go wrong with these.

I have run Nolden's for the past 3-years, they are ok but £ for £ there is a lot more you can do for your money (Nolden's were the OE fit and some of the most expensive despite coming down in price over the past couple of years).

I have a pair of J W Speaker 8700's in mine. They are light years (excuse the pun!) ahead of the standard headlights they replaced. At £500 a pair, they're quite a commitment, but in opinion worth the investment.

When up in the Lakes recently LED lamps seemed very popular. Other Defender owners couldn't wait to flash them in greeting and I don't blame them given the amount they must have paid! An awful lot of money still just to do the same job bulbs do for a huge amount less even if they do manage to do it a bit better.

I must be honest and say that when driving on dipped beam (as i do 80% of the time at night) the amount of light, the definition of the beam and the beam colour is vastly superior to the standard halogen units. While i understand the price is high, and the appearance not to all tastes, the extra safety afforded by the LED units makes them worth the money. It's just a shame that you have to buy before you try, as i for one will never go back to halogen bulbs.
