Hi all, regretfully sold my Freelander a few years ago but just found the shower cover which I bought to replace a torn one.
It’s brand new, out the packaging but all parts there and it’s spotless.
It’s on eBay at the mo but happy to sell privately. Have done some research and it looks like...

YES!!
100% sorted thank you!
two ratchet straps, a wooden mallet and a bit of gaffa tape and we are now 100% back in business.
I've even pulled the dent out with a sucker. Perfect fix.

Ha! That's a brilliant fix! Will try that first.

*NOW SORTED!*

well today some @rseh0le has driven into the back of it when parking; the spare wheel has bent the tailgate and now the window won't go down fully. It does enough to open and...

could try bleeding the clutch system? (think it's in the how to section or do a search)

I'm selling my TD4, 3 door full service history, not sure where you are but I'm in East Sussex.

hullo,
i didn't sillicone it. What I did was pop the seal out round the bottom corners and then carefully put them back. I also cleaned all round the tailgate where the seal connects with it to ensure there's a good seal. It seemed to cure it pretty much. Still gets a little damp on the boot...

result!
Bought this unit for £85
FREELANDER 1 REAR TAILGATE WINDOW REGULATOR PLUS MOTOR 1996-2006 CVH101150 | eBay
Fitted it quickly and simply and it's worked first time.
I'm happy that I at least tried to fix it with cables!
-
Tried again, same thing happened.
Cable popped out of clamp and p i n g snap goes the plastic clip with the spring again in exactly the same place.
I'm thinking that the poor old 15 year old clamps are just too coroded to happily hold the cable nipple in place.
so . . . I get a refund...

ok cool. I'm thinking that when i put the motor and runners back in the tailgate (bit of a squeeze isn't it when it's all together) maybe I slightly dislodged the cable nipple out of the window clamp so when the motor pulled it it simply slipped out which in turn buggered everything else up. New...

bought the 16 quid kit, followed the youtube video VERY carefully, put it all back in and I'm not sure if I got the tension right, the window went down, went up and then the cable popped out of the left hand window clamp and the big plastic bit on the motor with the spring broke.
f*ck*&g...

ok cool, cheers.
Took it all to bits yesterday ready to replace one cable and discovered that all three cables were shagged. Have bought the kit which comes with the motor wheel as the spindle looks fine.
fingers crossed

I've decided I'm going to try it with a bike gear cable (I have a spare one at home) and a solderless nipple. Will post back here with results.
