Good driving by everyone. I often see that lane on YouTube and quite often the jacked up monstrosities make a proper pigs ear of it.
Have you got a What3Words location for it?
Yes - nice to see some controlled and respectful driving.
And very reserved vehicles that are simply capable.
Vids like these make me want to get an old 90. My wife and my bank manager say different!
Only the pedal braking will work this way but without power bleeding the modulator once it was empty of fluid will affect the correct function of all the active braking modes(ABS, TC, EBD, HDC) cos air will be trapped between the OV's circuits...
Damn it, I completely forgot about that sierrafery… @Badger688 you will need to do at least 1 power bleed with a nanocom as I was half correct on my response, apologies!
I am interested but I don’t have £330 at the moment, so if you still got it after 25th then I’ll probably have it, no worries if not pal. Try ebay, you may get a bit more tbh.
No worries. :)
Personally never really understood the effort or why people would go tray back. It seems to leave you with an impractical vehicle, but most of the cons of a pickup or full body. Plus they generally look a bit minging and...
Once you move away from standard you are in the world of "specials" so you have to think A bit differently and be prepared to fabricate stuff. I started with a cheap 2nd hand arc welding set up. You may possibly have to think about using...
Don't worry about over thinking things. It is normal when you have a project. I reworked and made about 4versions of the spare wheel mount for a kit car and I am still not happy with it.
Put tank in same place. Use the D2 so keeps it all standard.
Fuel cap.look at the race car/marine type these are small(make sure a diesel nozzle will fit) & this would mount under the tray back
There has been a tray back build on here
(Off for...
That’s what I thought too be honest, I get an idea and really mull it over while deciding how I’d flesh it out without stopping to think “is this actually worth doing though?” ha, until now at least. I didn’t know a D1 tank was an option, the...
You are seriously over complicating things. No need for your set-up to be more complicated than the original.
I speak as someone who has had to fabricate fuel tanks for kit cars.
Why can you not use a D2 or a D1 tank? If you want a swirl pot is...
It’s plug and play mate, to bleed it you can just undo the banjo’s to modulator and pump the brake pedal to get fluid out then tighten them up and bleed the rest of the brakes as normal then job done.
Or if you got a nanocom then use that for it...
Right so as some may know my D2 inside burned but quite salvageable it seems, I’ve decided to keep it alive and trayback-ish it but the tank is gone and so is all the rear half of the fuel lines, got a chassis wiring harness so that’s good.
My...
I will say with the land rover compared to BMW, we have working indicators!!! lol.
If all you drive is towing across a field and some road driving, what about a … toyo.. I can’t say it… Toyot … oh my this is difficult to say….. Toyota? LOL!
Rav...
Thanks Luke. You are correct mate with your last statement, and this is entirely down to me. We did speak about the plates when I sold my Audi, but for reasons I won’t bore you all with (Taking a job abroad the following day) I couldn’t do...
My Wife's car has been driven for at least two years with the plug linking the coils to the rest of the loom mended with garden wire. The pesky spring clip flew off into the middle distance never to be found. so yep, 2 or even three zip ties...
You need to pull that sill cover off and move the carpet cause I bet that’s a lot bigger than you think!!!
Also that’s caused from water getting between the metal sheets in the wheel arch and seeping into the body as it’s only spot welded.
I’m also just going to throw it out there that the D2 body may be better than the D1’s but it’s by no means except, I know from experience first hand. So you either get a Jap import body which would be immaculate but then what’s the point in...

"the D2 dash(speedometer, tachometer, warnings) will not work for the 300tdi engine cos it works with PWM signals from the Td5 ECM, you'll have to transplant the instrument pack and wire it to the engine and fusebox but let the rest of the...
