i saw a video over the weekend on youtube where they added beffier o-rings to the new loom prior to fitting, that also solved the problem. have ordered a odb reader so hopefully get the error codes when it arrives. thanks for the input .👍
Connect the jumper to the main feed to the starter, missing out the solinoid this should turn the starter. If that works it’s the solinoid that need pulling apart & freeing up.
Chances are something has seized together after the swim.
(Shhh, don't tell anyone, but I have had oil in my red plug since I bought mine in 2014. I changed the injection loom as everyone said and kept on getting rid of the oil for a while. Seems to make no difference, so I only clean it out when I...

Sure this lot will do them somewhere on their website, they do custom lengths also.
I fitted those during my chassis change in 2019. last MOT tould if you do not change them they will not pass the next one. They can not make even simple brake pipe.
Ok I took it that the two conductors was black the other was colour for each speaker.
Below is a wiring diagram, so you will have to put a meter on check the carrier voltage etc.
Or with the speaker connected plus sound the speaker diaphragm...
Despite the fact this thread seems to have wobbled off into Freeloader territory, I agree totally with the sentiments and the thoughts behind them. The whole point of running your vehicle for ages is to defeat depreciation. And you only do this...
Problem solved...out of curiosity, I reconnected the nanocom to see the speed reported for each wheel and voilà! The left front wheel, the one the TC was blocking was the right one, was indicating a much lower speed than the others. So I figured...

Did any of that needed to be replaced or are you throwing sht at the wall to see what sticks?
When completely cold, it will only start when pressing and holding the accel pedal?
After 10 minutes of light driving, you turn it off and try to...
It is a shame, despite everything, I still like the car and want it back on (and off) the road. It deserves it.
Having now finally sorted the Disco 4s suspension (🤞), I'll turn my attention back to it and have another fiddle. You never know...

Decided that I need to check the oil pump sprocket bolt on my 2000 TD5. First job was to remove the front crossmember. Air chisel, breaker bar and 2 hours of fighting with rusty bolts and it's done. Knocked the captive nuts off with air chisel so...
I use satin black for most things, ive also used hycote bed liner paint on arches & other bits n pieces....looks good but need to watch when washing & polishing as some rags stick to it then its time to get the masking tape out.
You can buy textured paint in a spray can to replicate plastic parts.
You could try heating them up gently with a heat gun.
Or a good quality plastic reviving gel.
just wondering, is this from neutral, bang in drive then flooring it straight away? or already in drive, floor it and it does nothing for 2 seconds? do the revs jump up or like pause for 2 seconds?
Has to be said this is also par for the course with an auto, the torque converter has to power itself up, and there may be some electronics involved which might also be a factor, but not sure about that. @sierrafery will tell us.
You get used to...
