I never had my D1 "flip" but then I doubt I drove it as spiritedly as you might, even in the Dales!!

The downside being you take them off and have an accident which is investigated then you will be in deep do do. D2 never came without them fitted.

I’ve just had a look at various lift kits and none mention ARB’s

I don’t think a 2” lift would affect the bars. They would just rotate slightly within the bush to compensate for the lift. I’m no expert on lifts though, so could be wrong.

In the event you decide to replace them, I just happen to have a set for sale 😁

Not being able to exceed 3000rpm is commonly fuel related i.e. a failing fuel pump or faulty regulator. Have you tested the fuel pressure ?

I mean, you can cut the rest off so nothing is there and then they can’t test it so it won’t fail. But I’d be inclined to replace them cause it sways like a cowgirl on a buffalo without them, in my opinion. If you did replace, you can get +2 drop...

Ah well in that case it is angle grinder and flap disc to remove the last of the evidence, some black chassis wax and present for mot at another place.

Little update... it was by coincidence a failed wiper motor AND washer pump! Replaced the rear wiper motor and rear washer pump and all working again. Very strange they would both go at the same time! I did notice that the rear washer pump...

Britpart, like many suppliers, are engaged in a race to the bottom in relation to pricing, rather than concentrating on quality. I just replaced the suspension bushes on my lads 90, after 17 months. Britpart bushes totally worn out. Buy cheap...

No, not a standard one, I tried.. you can if you cut the cat exhaust in half and that depends if you keeping it or not.

That’s why I call britpart, “shi1part” cause that’s exactly what they all are sub par cheaply manufactured tat. Don’t get me wrong, they have a place if you HAVE to use a part as a quick fix but every sh1tpart item I’ve used has either broken or...

TBH, I have yet to see the significance of the letters and number. Unless it contains your initials of course. Can't see why it is worth that money. Loads here with NEM in, none so expensive...

Charge or swap the battery first as an old/low battery can cause all sorts of electrical issues. Even the auto box will do as you’ve described. To source parts, I just go on eBay but there are a few on here people have recommended, I can’t...

No ramp here either but not an issue as it only leaks when my face is underneath

Changing the one on my TD5 was a right sod, but then I chose not to empty the sump first. Putting the new one in at arm's length through the little access port under the wheel arch, it got very slippy!! No ramp, obvs!;) 🤣

Also the flashing D in gear is to do with the autobox xyz switch. Also your battery is low, can you fully charge it or try a different one to rule it out?

As you said it just suddenly cut out, I think it’s more of a loss of fuel, loss of injector function, failed communication to engine ecu or crank position sensor has failed.
  • L
Luke2025 replied to the thread td5 turning over not starting.
When you go to crank it, does the fuel pump run? Does the crank sound strong or weak?
  • L
There are two neutrals, 1 in the main gearbox and 1 in the transfer box. The main gearbox (R380 or LT177) drives an output shaft which typically spins faster than the engine in 5th, the same speed when in 4th and slower when in 1st 2nd and 3rd...

So, bit of an update. Unfortunately its still a non starter. Things we have tried since last update... Cranked it over with an oscilloscope on each of the injectors and found they all get 1 weak signal and then nothing. Which we assume is the...

That being the case the seal between the gearbox and transfer box will need changing, which isn't difficult in itself and is accessible once the units are separated.. I'm not an expert and have only once removed an r380 and lt230 together as one...
