Solder joints also leave an area where flexible meets solid and this area is prone to breakage.
I use crimp joints with pre fitted heat shrink and glue, they are VW approved but are not cheap. If I have to use bullets I fill them with grease.

I fitted those spacers on my 90 with boosts and 265/75/16 and all cleared fine, I could even wind my stops in a bit!

I had a nice setup in my last 90 but can't remember what it was!
I'm planning to go for the rear aerial mount and a big spring type aerial!
The radio itself would help if its small as space is tight!
Any ideas?

Agreed my track car has fixed seats and if they are designed not to move then they don't need to.

My D3 does about 25mpg on a use pattern like yours, going to 34 when on a longer run.
It's a tdv6 2.7 manual

I just fitted the later style and I had to open up the holes but non of the old ones are on show.
