I've been looking but can't find a definitive answer. The L322 Range Rover with the BMW petrol engine. What are the jobs which must have the body off - no ifs or buts? Does the same go for the Jag engined Rangie of round 2005/6? Cheers and thanks.

Most probably valve stem oil seals. Relatively simple repair as these can be replaced without removng the engine or heads.

I don't know what model Rangie you are talking about but you might bear this in mind. Some late model plastic fuel tanks in Classics were prone to cracking on the top and allowing fuel to leak out when full - exactly as you have described. The tank actually contracts as fuel is used and...

Thanks for the explanation Planny. I have never looked under an L322 and I also forgot it was basically a monocoque construction car. Good info to have in the back of my mind - you never know when it might come in handy.

I have never heard of that and am curious as to why you say that. What happens if you do?

That is one great looking Rangie VogueLSE and white really sets the classic shape off well. You are lucky to own it.......I am jealous. I particularly like the front air dam. We didn't see that style here in OZ. Have you any pics of the interior? What ever trouble the old girl is causing you at...
