When you say recently, do you mean within 30 days? Was the purchase place a official LR dealer, if so I thought they had a 30 day return policy.

Is the engine staying at normal temp and what is it reading underload? Any milky goo in the filler cap? What colour is the water? I'd go through flushing the radiator out and replacing the coolant before ripping the head off if it's keeping it temp and not showing signs of emulsifiying...

Just trying to guage the opinion. Looking to install a snorkel to my TD5. I have fitted a safari to my old 200 Disco and no problems, but wanted to try and go down the trek/g4 look for the later car. Anyone done this, do you have to remove the wing on the mantec one? The mantec one...

I wouldnt think there was much in it (the wheel issue!!) but the advantage is that you stand a better chance of battering the steel rim back into shape when you are in the middle of nowhere, if you buckle it and it looses its seal.

I think that they put that size tyres on the early camel disco's. They were a fair bit taller though. I don't think the pcd is the same for the rims though.
