I have a pair of 'pusher' fans ( sit infront of rad rather than behind) off a Rover 220 GTi Turbo that I would like to fit so I can get rid of the viscous fan. I have the original frame for the twin fans & shall be looking into it one dry day! I shall be following this thread with interest

It has fook all to do with how much you pay, its the spec that counts or we would all be running on Mobil 1 !!!! check your handbook that came with the car, there will be a spec for the oil in there, something like API A3 or similar, as long as the oil you bought is up to that spec you will be...

Check the wiring colours of the additional sockets Dip is yellow & beam white alernatively, connect a bulb to it then see if it illuminates when you put hi beam on

I have a mate with a 300Tdi auto in turquoise that hes looking for about £3200 if thats any help Its no use to me, its got sunroofs & 5 doors.

If its held on by a couple of small bolts ( 6 or 7mm head) then yes you just need to remove the bolts & it will pull away from the dizzy body

Next thing to check would be the module on the side of the distributor, I worked in a garage years ago & they had a Snap-On thingy that connected to the pins on the module & basically 'revved it up', if you heard it stutter or misfire ( Im talking about a buzzing sound made by the Snap-On gear...

Silly question time.... its got SU carbs, is there any oil in the dashpots? ( it'll misbehave summat rotten without the damping effect of the oil)

Landy main dealer or one of the specialists should be able to do it for you. I had a replacement remote supplied & programmed at a Rover dealers on a car I had at the time, it looked identical to the Landy remotes & cost £97 if I recall correctly

What exactly has it been painted with? It sounds like 2 pack without hardener, if thats the case it will stay like chewing gum for ages :rolleyes:
