I have been looking at a Freelander 2.5 V6 auto with a view to buying it. It is a 2005 HSE Station Wagon ,with 60000 miles on the clock and seemed fine on a test run.I have read a few negative posts on various sites :( are they really that bad or did the later models get sorted out ?

Yeah its the one with the double skin roof and the pop up vents. Thanks for replys anyway. Looks like i will have to keep it for the winter and save up for a canvas top.

I have just bought a series 111 lightweight which has a safari roof on it . i am not over keen on it and ideally would like a canvas roof for it. My question is is a safari roof worth anything as i can not find any listed on e bay ect to give me an idea . Would like to sell it to fund a canvas...

Hi, can someone tell me if there is a inline fuel filter on my 1.8 petrol engine freelander (1997) and if so where is it fitted ?? Or is it a filter on the fuel pump in the tank?? I seem to be getting some confusing advice from my local car parts shops. Thanks in advance.

yeah did a service a few months back but didnt do the fuel filter ,so that prob good place to start:D.Is it one of them little in line jobs or a bigger one near the tank .Really should buy a manual i suppose:).

I have a misfire or slight hesitation on my 1.8 petrol Freelander .This happens if i accelerate hard and the engine dies but only for a second or so and is then fine.It does not do this all the time just every now and again.Any help much apreciated.

I have taken the screw out the cap and undone the bolts but nowt much is moving .I get the feeling i need to remove the cap and there will be a bolt to undoo ????? Just bought a cheap freelander as a run around and on the dash near the rev conter is a light in red that says SRS. I have no manual or hand book so not sure what this is ??? Any help much apreciated and ta in advance.

The bottom edge for the full length of it is well rotted. wondered if someone made a repair section as nothing left of it to patch up.:(
