Had two 3.9 one on lpg not a problem with them had a 4.6 was going to have lpg fitted but to many problems.The ones that appear to have the biggest problems with the blocks are the ones with lucas gems injection systems as it leans the mixture right down when running at a set constant speed.

Had a P38 4.6 myself and what a motor when running right but in the 12 month I had it I wished I had never seen the god damn thing.More problems than a woman with permanant PMT would I have another NO CHANCE.

Have you looked at the brake disks to make sure they arnt warped had this happen on a rover 825 rubbing noise when dry but went when wet.

3.9 classic I had ran LPG 120,000 miles and no problems one tip if you get one with LPG drain and flush the cooling system and refill with neat anti freeze as anti freeze has a higher boiling point disapates heat a lot better so the motor will run cooler this will help negate the extra heat...

As has been said it would be more cost effective to sell it and buy a black one.If every thing is not removed and taken down to a bare shell it will look a pigs ear and be hard to sell when the time comes.Just to give you some idea if I was to do it it would have to be a bare shell and the costs...

Got a quote from them online for the TD5 disco £743 tried Sureterm £704 then went compare the muckit Sureterm £689 took the no claims protection off £241.
