Well it did fill and then two thirds of it would flush away, but after last flush it runs from cistern into bowl constantly and water running into cistern trying to top it up but failing so I'm back to flushing with a bucket of water :(
It's full, actually slightly overflowing, it doesn't actually empty, always about a third full even after a flush
EDIT, flushed it and the cistern is emptying constantly now
Modern loos are rubbish aren't they? So often. But the flush being slow is weird. Ours flush quick enough there just often isn't sufficient volume of watter to shift stuff.
And of course the float is adjusted up to the max.
I had forgotten about the lights in the rear bins!
And yes only my ma's had the chrome catches, although my first one was a 1963 de luxe it had the placcy ones. I could never afford a Cooper, or, more importantly, the insurance. I had a bad habit...
... I have to find £3,500 to keep my middle lad afloat for a month. :(
All donations gratefully received (used £10 notes in plain brown envelopes are especially welcome. :)
Or maybe I should start a "GoFundMe" page and see if anyone bites...
Yes, the early mk1 had the chrome push button window catches, changed to plastic arround 65. I had 62 Austin Mini de lux in 1966, it had lights in the rear bins as well as under binicle on dash same as the Cooper. I also had a 66 Cooper in atound...

I once changed a Mini steering wheel for an older lady who was struggling with parking, I replaced it with one from a Stag I think, bigger wheel made steering so much easier for her at low speeds.
The Mk2 Mini's had the switches set further back...
My first two Minis had them, you could buy extensions to them so I did, made it a bit less of a pain on your back, especially once you had moved the wheel nearer you.
You could also buy push-on extra long rubber switch extensions for the lights...
Just looked up similar plates

Nearest is E1 CSU which is 999 quid
Can't get three letters three numbers they're just not available (from DVLA)
That surprises me. When I suggested that, I was thinking more along the lines of £250 o £500. The V5c would say if it was non-transferable or not. The one on my D1 300tdi is like that.
Forgot to put me bins out a day early (BH weekend). But found a small hammer which has been missing for weeks - while I was looking for another tool which has only been lost for 24 hours.

Today I am requested to do some carpet cleaning with my Vax Spotwash where the MIL has had a little "accident".
Poor old gal, definitely nearing the end stage now, she asks for food...
