    Cheap Chinese diesel heater.

Every car that I've had with air conditioning has instantly cleared the windows when switched to re-circulation, more so when getting in with damp clothes, dogs, snow covered shovels, etc. Windows steam up, press recirc, windows defog all round. I suspect your dehumidifer isn't working right...

    MOD Vehicle List

Awesome! I'm not sure what a lot of the numbers are, but they might be useful for historical/hysterical records :-)

    MOD Vehicle List

It's best summed up in this tweet At https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/foi-responses-published-by-mod-week-commencing-09-july-2018 the MOD have published a list of every vehicle they've owned and serviced, including thousands of Land Rovers. Might it be of use to some people in here?

Series 3 Oil pump part numbers

Handy to know about it just being the gears. Will get on the rest shortly. Cheers :-)

Series 3 Oil pump part numbers

Not convinced a few drips a day from the negative pressure side of the oil delivery mechanism will cause low pressure.

Series 3 Oil pump part numbers

That probably explains it. I'll take a look at the gears too. I did wonder about the baffle situation, and I'm pretty sure the sump has one fitted (the big plate with a hole in the middle). It's my daily driver, so whilst the cost of replacements isn't as much of a concern, the downtime is :-)...

Series 3 Oil pump part numbers

I've been getting the occasional flicker of the oil light with hot oil, hardish braking, and low oil levels (I'm leaking at the front and rear crank seal), and I thought I should invest in a new oil pump whilst I do a oil and filter change in two weeks time. My TR6 oil pump was £50, so 'how bad...

    Operating in cold weather

What's the take on oils for the 2.25 petrols in this kind of weather? We're hitting -10 regularly here, and just this morning I spotted that mine decided to vent some oil out the oil filter seal either during (sluggish) cranking or post-start. This all despite my best efforts to keep the revs...

    Output shaft slack

Not when I disengage gears, but I do when I'm coming to a stop or very low speeds. Sometimes it can be prevented by leaving it in gear and very gently riding the clutch, or very gentle application of the handbrake. That's what led me to believe it was something post-gearbox-ish Kyle

    Output shaft slack

None that I can see or feel, thankfully :-)

    Its flashing me!!

Having just rewired my own S3, I can vouch for the fact that it's not _terribly_ hard. Two screws hold the dashboard on, and it's just a case of follow the wire down the rabbit hole. Eventually you'll find the other end of it...

    Output shaft slack

Doh, a friend has just reminded me that the seal is also felt. So it'll be 622042 followed up by FRC1780!

    Output shaft slack

Evening all, In an attempt to lessen the drivetrain shunt and lash on my S3 SWB, I've replaced both props, yokes and all UJs. Whilst I had the rear prop off I pondered about how much slack there's supposed to be in the gearbox system. With it in 1st gear, and disconnected at the rear diff, I...

    Capstan winch info

Evening all, Is anyone able to shed any light on this capstan winch? - Capstan Winch - a set on Flickr IMAG0043 by kylegordon, on Flickr It doesn't have a drive dog, but before I go hunting for one I'd like to know more about it. All I know is what's inscribed on it in those photos! Cheers...

    Brake pressure warning switch

Yep, the light is gone as well. I don't like having lights, indicators and switches for things that aren't connected anyway :-) Kyle
