If you pull the red plastic off the actual switch you can cut it in half. I actually cut about 5mm out the middle of it and cut the ends off. I then got a glass chopping board and some wet and dry and sanded each of the two remaining halves perfectly flat before glueing them back together with...

Tried this with warrens one, the plugs etc all join up and the new clocks all link up etc, but the clocks will constantly show a couple of lights, it was engine management and something else. The rev counter worked i think, fuel guage read upside down and i think the temp and speedo wouldn't...

Well after spending 2 weeks replacing the clutch, flywheel, gearbox, IRD (new one had broken housing so swapped the internals into a pre2001 housing!) and almost ending up smashing it to pieces through frustration.... My trusty 1.8 has another years MOT!
Headlights were given a very...

Yep, can cofirm. My clutch plate springs shattered and got stuck behind pressure plate last week jamming the pressure plate up solid. It decided the best place to do this would be as i pulled off the roundabout onto a several mile long dual carriageway with no hard shoulder as i tried pulling...

Why thank you :D It's been a pain this week but new clutch, flywheel, gearbox and IRD have got it singing again :D
I Use H1 led bulbs off amazon and i modified the headlight housing to use projector lenses. Still got to fit the headlight washer kit though, been busy enough with it this week as...

This is how it ended up, hazard switch next to steering wheel and all switches etc moved over. Pretty sure one of the two switches on the left without a fascia on is a heated seat switch that i never got round to buying the seats for.

The actual switches are the same though, some have the locating tabs in different positions but you can literally just pop the front switch fascia off the facelift version and fit it to the old switch. It helps if you have a bunch of switches from a broken car like i did as you can just mix and...

I already replaced the condenser, the radiator and the orings for the pipes connected between them. The Kwik fit machine couldn't detect a leak before it filled it so the hole is miniscule wherever it is. I'm just concerned it might be in the pipework that runs in the passenger footwear as its...

Anybody got any experience with the reseal kits that squint the sealant goo into the system? Read positive reviews online but at £50 for a regal and then circa £50 for the sealant etc its quite a punt if it doesn't work properly. Last time I had it regarded it lasted around 5 weeks then started...

Cheers mate. I know the feeling, the insides of mine looks like a garage has been tipped upside down in there! Keep meaning to sort it but there's always something else to do that stops me getting it done haha.

Haha, yeah it's certainly had a lot of hard work put into it. Financially it's not been too bad as I tend to stalk ebay for bargains. The bull bar was £70 brand new, almost new tyres £150 for five, facelift headlights rear lights and front/rear bumpers were £80 for the kit. The head gasket I...

Well, its funny to see my first thread and read back through it. My how things have changed!
I now know a lot more about cars, have crossed off pretty much every item on the original list and done a bunch more stuff to it as a little extra. Also found a damn good friend in warren as well so...

I'm using a modified harness from the old style headlights. Just pulled them out the old lights so the original connectors can be used.
