As a useful back up I keep one of these in me boot ... Electric Winch at Westfalia Mail Order - UK No cutting or welding required. It just fits onto a tow ball. I have got a clamp on tow ball to fit up front too, but I haven't got around to fitting it yet. Got more serious things to sort first...

Mine's an '85. It ain't a Vogue though, just a basic Classic with a manual shift. The centre console looks a bit different but it's still got a lockable cubby box. A lockable under dash glove box would have been nice, but I've never seen one fitted. There's plenty room for one on each side...

Barring actual payment, the spare carrier is sold, but it's a pig to arrange transport, so I'll come back if it doesn't happen. Johnny.

I paid £80 on eBay for it a year or so back. It's very heavy gauge steel and weighs over 1 cwt. Had to take all the seats out to get it into my Corsa.:rolleyes: Tried to temp fit it to my Classic to get a better piccy, but the over long bolts holding my tow bracket to the chassis will need...

In preparation for a proposed LPG fit with a donut tank in the spare wheel spot, I bought a swing away rear mount for the spare. BUT, the LPG fit didn't happen, and I'm more likely to go the Webber quad route than LPG now, so the rear mount rig is still laying unused in the garden. See...
