ok thanks jamesmartin. i hav'nt got anything to take the engine out with so i''ll have to drop the gearbox and transferbox. the gasket i've got is for the 2.5 n/a and its a genuine L/R,whats the differance with the one from the 200tdi then?

hi update on ex-mod 110.well he fixed it for me free of charge.replaced the gearbox and the gear out of the transfer box that the gearbox shaft goes though. and when i enquired about a pair of 2nd hand front seats he had lying around he let me have them!!! so all in all not a bad result,abit...

update on ex-mod 110! the dealer is coming sunday to take it back to nottingham and replace whatever needs replacing at his cost!! good job to!! we'll see what happens. er not ex-mod just drive one!!!(hopefully!) j

yep just bad luck i guess then,i mean i had a 68 mustang fastback 4yrs ago and that broke down on the way home just after i bought that! yeah it is 18yrs old(the 110).. i had heard good things and bad things about landrovers, but the only way to find out is to own one.which i do now... thanks...
