hi
just been out and had a look under my 110, checking stuff under cos i've got an m.o.t soon and noticed that i've excessive wear on my front off side tyre, the inside sidepart of the tyre.the wear is only on the offside and the nearside is fine.i understand that this means that the caster is out? yes or no? if so how can this be corrected? i've read somewhere about a bent axle?how so? or are the wheels just out of alignment?

any idea's

why would caster be out its ,i think you mean camber ,but its not adjustable ,i woulkd check swivel pins brgs etc, wheel brg ,bushes etc, axles dont bend very easily

castor angle is none adjustable, excessive wear on the edges of the tyres will be a "tracking" problem probably to much toe out.
Do a search on here i have posted how to manually check your tracking a few times.

Have you checked the wheel bearing ? the swivel bearing's worn bushes on that side ?

A bent axle is possible have you had any heavy landings when off roading ? Usually a bent axle would cause problems at both sides.

As always check the basic's first, wheel bearing, swivel bearing preload, bushes and track rod ends and manually check the tracking

hi
hav'nt had chance to off road it yet, shame i know! but it's an ex-mod so i don't really know the history of it.re-bent axle.
but will have to check the basic's first before i get carried away!
thanks
