    steering Question

Hi guys, I have 1 96 300 TDI 110. When I grab the top of the steering wheel and pull it towards me I get a load click/knock. It is almost as thought the wheel is loose but it isn't. Does anyone have any ideas please? Thanks

    steering problems

I'll try it with Brake fluid. Does it really work better than penetrating fluid? So has anyone "not' been able to remove it? what's the last alternative, to rebuild it in situe? Oh and thanks for all your help, it's great to benefit from your combined expertise!

Any other ideas, I've used a bolster to beat it (mini sledge hammer). Lifted it with a jack, no luck?

    Which 110, the 200 or 300TDI

Is the 200 better than the 300 for reliability? Is the 300 more complicated? Does either have more electrics to to wrong? I am ways remember the old cars with no electrics and barely a thing to go wrong..

    Which 110, the 200 or 300TDI

OK, so should I instead be asking what to look for so that I don't buy a pig. I have worked on all my cars in the past, but normally after buying it I realise what I "should" have looked for? Any help as always is very much appreciated. Also when you say "40% veg in winter / 70% in summer", can...
