Some months ago I fitted a new Harman Kardon radio to my P38. It worked straight away tuning to available stations. However, it drops the signal very easily and I've noticed recently that the volume is quite limited on both radio and cassette (don't have a CD multi-changer fitted). I've tested aerial and aerial amplifier and those are good.
It suddenly occurred to me that I'd never been asked for a code (I do have the code) and wonder if the radio is operating at a reduced capacity (rather than just—not at all).
The battery has been disconnected on two occasions and the radio still hasn't asked foe a code.
As I don't have manual, I don't know how to ask it if it would like a code since it's not prompting me to punch one in.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem?
