Thanks for pics Vinnie 110. Yep with those hoops I have no way of getting in garage. Sit on Kayak is 13ft 4 in to be specific. Still to big to put inside unless I take front windscreen out.

I have a Momo on mine which is about 14in. Self correcting indicators work fine...boss was £45. Don't ask how much the wheel was though!

I could do but I just want to avoid fitting and refitting everytime I want to carry the Kayaks. The Defender usually goes in the garage but it is very tight height wise and I probably have 2.5 inch between top of roof and lowest part of garage door. thanks,

I have 1 '96 P reg 300TDi with 102k on the clock. I have to say although I can get mine to 70/75 it prefers to sit at 60 or lower - just sounds less strained and more comfortable to drive at the lower speed. To be honest I never do more than about 50 most of the time - but then I don't use it...

For the record it was one of our managers wives and it is the second time that she has trashed his company car by putting petrol in a Diesel. The other one was a 1.9 TD Ford Galaxy.

....friend of mine's wife [apparently] put petrol in a TDV6 Disco3 and ran it about 600 yards. The insurance had to pay out £4k for all new engine parts to a main dealer. Doh! Joe

Probably 'P' seal but check with a mirror that it isn't coming from under the water pump itself. I changed the 'P' seal only to find I needed a new pump - nothing like doing it all twice. Joe

Having not driven the Defender in the dark for some months I was out [due to localised flooding] the other night and noticed that my headlights and dash lights appear to have a pulse. The pulse is in rythm with the engine revs. Is this normal or is it a symptom of future battery/alternator...
