Im designing / building a rev counter at uni to go on my 1989 land rover 90. Can anyone tell me what the max rpm is set to on a low compression 3.5 V8 (SU carb type, standard engine)?
The other thing Im not sure about is how powerfull is my v8 as some places I read 114bhp and others 134bhp...

Thanks for the info, will have a look on the weekend. Not long had me first land rover but from what I can see there can't be too much else to go wrong as far as the lights are concerned - I hope anyway.

Headlights are permanently stuck on at the moment. Have disconnected / checked the switch and stalk and the problem doesnt appear to be with them. Has anyone else had any experiences of such a prob? I keep reading posts which talk about a dim dip module or something like, wondering if that...

Recently bought a replacement fuel sender (Britpart STC1139) for my 1989 land rover 90 (v8) and on fitting I plugged the three wires in exactly as on the old one but this new one did not fully work, only the low fuel warning light worked. I can only assume that this new part has the pins...
