The thing was I had to do that every time... But it seams to have fixed itself... After a few days of doing it constantly. Iv not had a problem.... Cheers! :)
-
Well I thought it was fixed... This morning it struggled to start. It was spluttering but finally did, engine light came on. Let it run for 5 mins. Stopped it and started again. And started fine and no engine light. Same again after work...
Iv had the fuel pump out so I'm thinking there's air...

Well finally got it sorted. Been incredibly busy with work so not much time to get stuck in. Checked quite a lot, replaced a load of things, turns out it was the crankshaft position sensor. Managed to get a lot of other things sorted whilst I was at it so not all bad :)

Haha yea plenty of fuel in it. Inertia switch reset and no strange noises when turning over... I'm gonna be out the country for 2 weeks so gonna have to wait to get stuck in to it...
-
No smoke from exhaust. I can hear the fuel pump. Immobiliser is disabled. And I thought the inertia switch stopped it cranking over aswell?

Its ever so slightly down on oil but I have a leaky drain plug so that might explain that and I checked the coolant level the day before and was ok. Tried turning it over just then and the engine warning light now goes out after its self test and when turning over the oil pressure light goes out...
-
Bleed screw was loose but still there. Problem is it won't start now. Just spins over... :(
-
Yea kept a close eye on everything because I couldn't afford something like this... The temp. Gauge didn't go above half n it didn't loose power before i turned it off and the oil level hasn't changed... Any ideas other than my worst nightmare?

Hi all.
I was driving back from work earlier in my TD5 as a pipe had burst and the family couldn't find the stop valve so I put my foot down to get back. My heater wouldn't turn on and as I pulled up the engine light came on, so I switched it off and tried to restart. And it won't start...

At work we use 'alodine' to treat aluminium before etch priming.
-
While were on the subject... My 90's springs are nicely corroded and I'm considering fitting hd springs. Worth it or not? Much change to the ride?

I guessed it was part of vin number but the last bit of my vin starts with XA... so wasn't to sure. And I also guessed it was the early one but didn't wanna order the wrong part...

I'm buying a new rad for me 99' TD5. Looking on paddocks. It's showing;
Radiator - TD5 Diesel to 2A622423
And
Radiator - TD5 Diesel from 2A622424
The '2A6224' bit is what exactly?
Cheers
