see my recent post. I found my headlamp connectors had melted a bit around the earth (black wire). Looked OK on the outside, but looking into the socket -> all warped and benkled. I too had strange works/doesnt work, sometimes works when you flash them. Then suddenly - nothing!

GOT IT! Having checked the fuses stripped the column "always the switch" - and put in a new switch checked the earths went on a 'swap the relay' game etc I finally pulled the headlamps off looking for a broken wire/connection etc. Guess what?? The connector onto the back of the headlamp had...

Headlights - dip and full no longer work (but the blue dash indicator does!) The side lights, indicators, self-levelling motors in the headlights all work as expected - rock the lights and the wee motors come into play automatically. Anyway I checked the earths - as best I could - the 4 fuses...

PTO drives a PUMPand the pump drives the PTO. The PTO is not a "driect from front of engine". But I am unaware of the different makes and models. Any clues where to look. My google skills dont show anything relevant.

I think you should speak to the insurance company about the purpose of the "value" that they are asking you for. In my experience this is (at best) the max they will consider paying out given a set of impossible events happen - in practice they find what they claim is an equivalent vehicle and...

Auction purchase; Looked after by inhouse team I guess. MOTs for the past decade have been faultless. But absolutely no service records, but a pristine user manual (and radio code) but no key security code. Clearly a "no comeback" sale. But it was cheap - not as cheap as your nail fungus...
