    It's another job to add to my regular inspection/replacement program now I know how to check them. I have only owned an LRD for two years and I'm still learning how to look after it! UJ's I am familiar with and yes a grease-gun and its use is essential!

    I took may LRD for the MOT today, I did a s much prep as I knew how to and it failed on three ball joints. The two on the Tube Track Rod (the back long one) and the one on the Tube Cross Rod/Drop Arm. Managed to source and replace them, my planned trip to Wales will go ahead, yippee! At...

    Britpart timing belt tensioners.

    Finally managed to get rid of the squeak, some chain-lube on the dust seal behind the crank pulley. What a t**t that has been to find, many thanks to Mr Freelaner!

    Finally sorted out what was squeaking after changing the timing belt, tensioner and a variety of seals and gaskets, yippee! Thanks to the amazing researched capabilities of Mr Freelaner!

    I took it out to play in the snow over Houndkirk Moor, in normal conditions a pleasant but easy route, today in up to 5' snow-drifts a totally different playground.
