I removed the radio as I couldn't hear it 😄
Can't see me putting one back in unless I change the engine or massively soundproof the vehicle (neither of which will happen).

Where/who are you using for galvanising ?
Are they still charging per weight?
(Not had much done for he past few years & good to keep up with the things)
I’ve had two bulkheads galvanized so far and had no issues, if they do decide to drill a hole I can always fill it in with lead solder before painting, I’ve used this method on galvanized front bumpers to fill in the end cap holes. Beauty with...
Have you put a drill/drain hole on the door pillars of the bulkhead?
They classed mine as a sealed tube & drilled a hole in each side
Stuff always look good when re galved
Mot on Monday so thought I'd best patch the holes in the passenger footwell. My Dads brill at all sorts of fabrication so he welded and answered the million and one questions my 10 year old had, lovely to see!
It's a bit of a bodge but if it...
Hi max, I can’t actually remember the exact details but when I look at it it will jog my memory. I’m pretty sure dippy is right and where you have your black circle there’s spot welds. In the corner itself, there’s an actual box structure made up...
Brilliant, thank you! Just ground all the sealant and paint off and I can see the spot welds now - had to go back a bit from the section I was looking at because all that metal has gone.
Time to start drilling! I was hoping not to have to do...
May be @resto_d1 could help. He has a few threads/builds on a disco. Have a search.
I know he’s done the rear of the body, not sure on alpine light area
Thats why we went out on classic car tours. Recovery company organised & re patriate your car if broke(happened twice to 1 car)
If your motor is in good condition just pack a good tool kit to fix the basics.recovery company can do the rest.
Well, after a few Years in the wilderness I’ve returned to LandRover ownership - this time it’s a 2010 Discovery 4 HSE, like I don’t have enough grief in my life!
It has some, errrm, issues to address - AC is fubar, brakes are interesting, the...
Cut it off and bash the new one in and weld it on, if you have the one with the reduced tube size.
I would support the tub with a jack and piece of wood when removing the bolts.
Don't weld galvanised metal as its bad for you.
As reported elsewhere the mini has been all tuned up on a rolling road. :)
Horrendously expensive (£562) but the results seem to be good. It really does go well now.
What did he find wrong?
1. Incorrect coil (he reports that it had a "points"...
Oh oh, I decided to reseal the LT230, whipped off the sump to find this:
I guess the bits I found in the R380 are just incidental...
Will need to strip it down to see if any other bits in the box are nadgered...
Have you measure the gap(door opening)
On both sides of the motor?
Have you measured the doors?
This will tell how much you need to make the drivers side larger
Honda 125 Twin 1977
This has been in a collection for decades and has never been on the road in that time.
The speedo is showing less than 100 miles. It is in amazing condition and surely the best available.
It's had an MOT although it's...
Yes I agree , I intend to use a 12v linear push pull solenoid , these can be of various power and speed rating , hence asking if anyone had used one , I will be producing a bracket for it and I'm sure it will take a couple of solenoids to get the...
Apologies for the delay. Grommet hole is for the wiper spindle. The bolt is the rivnut to prevent the motor turning.
If you require any more or specific measurements let me know as I have the blank door atm.
Believe it or not I have only a couple on the phone. You will have to wait for some others when I get them off the camera.
Just the two of us today, a first timer came along in a 200tdi 90, said he enjoyed the day and would come along again...
