thanks very much for those attachments - the headliner cure(s) looks a bit more scientific that the current "loads of gaffer-tape all round the sunroof and down the drip rail" solution, which both looks a bit shoddy and has singularly failed to stop the leaks - :D

that's great chaps, thank you ! definitely soggier on the off-side, so fuse box swap over it is - they seem cheap enough, so far and away the best option first up - much appreciated :)

2001 DII TD5 Hi all - got a few "electrical" issues and wonder if problem is more likely to be fuse box or BCU related Thing got drenched in torrential rain last week, and has always leaked via head lining/offside front pillar, so could well have had some moisture down to the fusebox area...

ahhh - well spotted ! 2001 DII TD5 ES general dampness seems to be the likely reason - but, fingers crossed, no more symptoms today, and no repetition of the running on....

might make sense - the relay on my auxiliary driving lights is fried as well - looks like the electrics had a complete fit it some point and i'll be finding other bits and pieces for a while - bit strange that the diagnostics didn't flag a single error with the new battery in situ and the ECU...

well - here's a novel approach to faults, quite opposite to the usual problems ! had a few electrical issues this week - battery died (just packed up due to old age, supposedly nothing sinister) - but when back up and running courtesy of RAC jump start, there were a few odd things going on...

pffft - got the same problem, checked with the MOT garage and been told that it's a definite fail with the ABS light on, regardless of the fact that it may just be the sensor that's playing up ! :mad:

ok - time to gear up for the winter - what are the weapons of choice when it comes to headlamp and driving lamp bulbs ? got a 2001 DII TD5 - standard pre-face lift lights and safari 5000 driving lamps, standard wiring loom with the S5000's on the high beam circuit - currently got the original...

right - ahem obviously didn't do the cap up tight enough (if at all) last time i topped up the water, and the bloody thing's come off in transit (after a week of driving around !) - cue overheating (surprise !), general malaise and a tow home... now - can i lash something up with gaffer tape...
