LHD Series 3 throttle linkage question...

I don't often post on here, and when I do its in the Discovery 2 section as that what I own. However as a general LR fan, and there's not many out here (Greece) who understand them, I am helping an Austrian friend out with his Series 3 leafer. See below. '] '] '] He tells me...

Disco 2 TD5 Water in the air box

There is supposed to be a "duck bill" rubber fitting on the drain for the airbox. Supposed to let water out but not in. I and many others have blocked the drain in the wheelarch completely without any problem . I found that a top off a 5 litre oil container fits nicely....

Disco 2 More XYZ or not ?

It is not unusual for Nanocom to change settings for no apparent reason. Auto to manual and vica versa is a common issue, as well as various others. Glad you have it sorted now.

    3 amigos!!!

As said, usually once over (IIRC) 10mph they should reset. It also begs the question of what hubs you fitted. Did they come with the sensors, are the sensors Wabco, do the hubs have the correct number of teeth on the reluctor ring, (60), the cheap ones often do not? Even though the hubs are...

    Overnight discharging

If however, you still feel there is a drain somewhere, try removing each fuse and fusible link whilst having your ammeter attached. The drain will disappear when you pull the fuse on the circuit that the drain is on. You can then concentrate on that circuit, rather than the whole system.

Disco 2 More XYZ or not ?

It is easier to access the cable via the centre console once removed, as it can be clearly seen then, but it CAN be got at from underneath, just follow the silver foil covered cable around and over the top of the transfer box. It is secured by the notorious P clip on the top of the box that...

Disco 2 Help removing ace valve block!!

They corrode, steel and aluminium don't mix..... Most people just cut them off and then clean out the mess. Best to replace with hydraulic couplings and then get hoses made up to replace the steel pipes, either completely or as much as you want.

    Disco 2 Wheel sensor....

Quite possibly Andy yes. Not sure if it might affect the rears though if they were still 60 teeth....

    Disco 2 Broken fuel pipe

The normal culprit is the green connector pipe that runs across the tank and comes out just above part of the chassis on the offside and is fitted with a push connector. It rubs on the chassis and leaks. Cut the carpet cleanly with a SHARP knife across the lower end of the rear seat fixings...

    Disco 2 Wheel sensor....

To definitively ascertain which hub/sensor is at fault, find a kerb and drive off the kerb with one wheel at a time until you get the fault. This will provide confirmation of which wheel is the problem. As said there are a number of hubs for sale with the wrong number of teeth on the reluctor...
