What have you done to your Freelander today

Fixed my washer jets! They had got so week i thought the pump was either knackered or blocked. After checking through everything, I decided the fault had to lay in the wiring harness that the washer pipe runs through inside the wing under the bonnet. I think over time it had all just...

    Vcu propshaft separation woes

Changed my bearings this morning, the front one was tight. I put a 9" angle grinder through the old bearing to give me room to hit the back of the yoke with a good hammer and drift, came off ok then.

    Any ideas what this is?

If I'm thinking right, if you have removed the drive shafts from the rear hubs there is nothing to hold the hub to the back plate. The nut that goes on the end of the drive shaft keeps it all together!

    Gear Selectio

It shouldn't be at the floor. I did my clutch this week and mine was at the floor afterwards, I bled it a couple of times and pumped the pedal a lot and it eventually came to about half way.

    Freelander TD4

Check the pump on the rear wheel arch, my mates had a bad connection, he gave the arch liner a thump and it came back on. It did it a few times, only when his wife was driving it lol he put a pump on in the end.

    Clutch starting to slip!

The clutch on my TD4 has started to slip! I'm going to have a go at it one day this week, can't say I'm looking forward to it though! I've read what I can find on the web, fingers crossed it goes ok.

    Getting used to the Freelander!

Well I'm slowly getting used to my 2005 F/L sport, it's a big change after 3.5 years in an xtrail, I like the way it handles, just need to improve the performance a little, I've disconnected the vac pipe from the EGR and will be looking at what else I can do to give it a bit more go.

Hi from a freelander owner to be!

Thanks, I've got my Feelander sport now. It's gonna take a little getting used to after the xtrail. It handles far better and looks smart, I'm missing the extra power and comfort of the XT, those sport seats are rather firm! Will have to see what I can do for the power in the FL section :)
