i also checked just then the measurement between the gap in the body where the door would go- 88cm top and bottom

bought 2x new britpart side window seals and filler strips for my truck cab as the old ones were perished, got round to fitting them today, laid them in the groove and they are too short, also tried stretching them after they were in a bucket of hot water but that didn't work either.

isn't that clutch area dry though? so shouldn't see any leaks there?

thanks jamesmartin, so I'm guessing its not a good idea to go poking any further up while cleaning? would it be a good idea to change the gasket or is it safe for a while yet?
