I wouldn't say it makes the old girl go any faster - but the power, and torque delivery is greatly improved, and throttle response is instant. In everyday driving it makes the Landy just a joy to drive, a lot less gearchanges, and power is always on tap - no waiting for the power to arrive...

Took me about an afternoon - in the wind and rain !

I had a look last night, and to be honest couldn't see where it has come from. I have filled the reservoir up again, and bled the system. I expected the fluid to come gushing out when the wheels were turned - but nothing. I didn't take it for a drive, but we'll see today

Got a new filter, but before I put it on everything has returned to normal. ( apart from my steering pump giving up:mad) The old girls driving lovely again - what's that all about then?

My power steering is buggered. A few miles from home last night, my steering felt like I had a flat - but when I got home I see my engine bay is spalttered with power steering fluid.:eek::( Soooo's, what's the damage? Please don't say a new pump - I spent too much on the bugger recently! I'm...

I suppose a restriction in fuel would affect the puff of black smoke on start up. Normally when the old girl is running well she gives a good puff of black on start up - at the moment its just a whiff of black of smoke. Just waiting for my filter to arrive now....

Do I disconnect to check see if fuel is going into the pump, or from leaving the pump? Also, should the pump leaver self return to the horizontal position? I did a search but couldn't find a thread Slob, but the fact that you have heard of them failing - makes me think this is yet another...

Fitted a new lift pump ( Britpart) to my 200tdi a week or so ago, and everything was running bloody great again.. engine was smooth, and so much more responsive. Now, after a 4 hour journey its running no where near as good as it was. the power and torque delivery is not as strong as it was...

I know another bloody trye question, but I've searched and can't find the answer. Soooo, will a set of steel mods, with 265/75/R16 BF Goodrich All Terrain Tyres fit my 1986 90 with standard suspension set up? Thanks:)
