    Wheel bearing problem

Almost sure its the bearing, when tightened the play does go for short time only to return a short while afterwards. More than happy getting my hands dirty just want to be sure I changing the right part.

    Wheel bearing problem

I seem to be having a problem with the front nearside bearing on my 200tdi disco. I adjust it up taking any sign of any play away then once it is back on the floor the play is back and causing shaking when driving. What would cause the bearing to do this???

    new axle

Probably cheaper to buy a decent socket set than pay someone to swap the axles. I did this job on my disco not that bad to do all.

    Washing headlamps...

I had same problem on my 200TDi, got sick of washing and replacing headlamps, took a step backwards (or so some would say) and fitted sealed beams from a Range rover classic. Bright enough for me, and no more dismantling and cleaning.

    Head Bolt HELP!!!!!

Is there no chance you could use a hammer and a good chisel?? One of my rocker bolts was well and truly rounded when I came to do my timing belt, big hammer and chisel got it moving.

    side lights

I was aware that sealed beams would be useless, but having fitted them they are producing more light than my standard headlamps, probably due to the lack of mud, but so far I am happy enough. Am going to get some side markers off Ebay should do the trick.

    Head Bolt HELP!!!!!

Yes me!!! when trying to get the bolt undone on crankshaft damper to do timing belt. Took me over 4 days on one bolt. Keep up with the blow torch, and hit it with hammer at same time ( mind you dont get burnt!!) Then knock socket on, should be tight fit and use big breaker bar.

    side lights

Everytime I go and play the headlamps on the 200 ended up looking like muddy pools and becoming very dull, I have spent 2 much money replacing the headlights so decided that sealed beams would cure the problem once and for all.

    side lights

Have looked on SVA site and there are regs for headlamps but no mention of side/position lights, this is the reason for asking on here, I sure someone must know. For the moment I just switch straight to my headlamps just to be safe.

    side lights

Does anyone know what the rules are regarding sidelights. I have swapped my headlamps for sealed beams on my 200tdi, this obviously means I now have no side lights. I do have 8 leds built into my roof bar lights that come on when sidelights are switched on, are these enough or do I need to sort...
