Series 3 MOD 6way headlight Switch

i recently broke the knob on my headlight switch (rotary 6 way convoy version). Has anyone got one knocking about to sell? The switch itself is fine, I just need the knob but I will buy the whole thing if necessary! The Lucas ones are £330 which is a lot for just a knob but I’ll buy a second...

    Seties 3 Badges

My 1980 Series 3 109 FFR has the original rear Landrover badge covered in a camo paint job. What colour should it be? The original vehicle colour when it was in service with the Royal Signals was always NATO green as it never left the UK. Should it be body colour or bare alu?

    Series 3 ELECTRICAL ISSUES

I have recently acquired a Series 3 109 ex MOD FFR 1980/ The electrics are a bit shaky but I'm pretty sure the main feed to the ignition switch (and thence virtually everywhere else if I've read the diagram correctly) has gone from intermittent to broken. A direct feed from the battery has...

    Clansman whip aerials

Thanks for this, I was going to get genuine clansman parts the aerials come in 1.5m and 3m sizes for land rovers I believe. As for tuning the aerial I was an infantryman not a signaller so what I'm doing with an FFR Landcover I'm not at all sure. This is code for saying I haven't got the...

    Clansman whip aerials

I'm thinking of replacing the whip aerials and wing boxes on my former FFR S3 109 converted to 12v. If I connect them to an FM and/or CB will they work?

What to do with my 109

Well I've read all the comments. One key point I didn't make is that the ropey camo job was a post service change. So the original finish was green and that's what I've decided to do. However I don't want to muck it about too much, so apart from the wolf rims it's already got I won't do any...

What to do with my 109

Well the 'leave it original' view is clearly predominant and that more or less accords with my own view. Maybe I should turn it into an SAS gunship? But probably not!

What to do with my 109

I've got an extensive history for it and it's condition backs up that detail.

What to do with my 109

I've just acquired a very good low mileage 1980 Series 3 109. It's a soft top ffr petrol version.I can't make up my mind whether to try to return it to original equipment standard or maybe to convert it to more general or even camper style. Any views out there? Jim

    Irish rovers?

Hi Medusa, my cousin ( sort of) is an American living in Dublin but with roots and house in Mayo. He's just bought a REAL 1950 Jeep! You might see him driving it if you're ever near Westport. Jim Ps. I'm an expat as well
