Thing is ex military landies are still ten a penny (Well maybe not a penny) but there are plenty to choose from, so making one a, bit more suited to your own useage isn't really a biggie.
Personally like I said above I'd keep to making any changes reversible...
Mine above is just as it was cast Barring front passenger wing due to a previous owners crash... I'm only the second civvy owner so it's staying as it is (including the just above single figures 2 1/4)
My s2a, StaWag is currently going 300tdi powered as it'll suit ME better to have something with long legs and cheap fuel....

Well I've read all the comments. One key point I didn't make is that the ropey camo job was a post service change. So the original finish was green and that's what I've decided to do. However I don't want to muck it about too much, so apart from the wolf rims it's already got I won't do any major mods just get it into good nick and get a Sankey for the camping bit. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions.
