Take a look at the drop links see if there is too much play in them , also get under freelander and to the back of engine you will see the anti-roll bar . See if it moves about too much aslo there is stopers either end of the bar to stop it moving out and hittin the struts , sometimes the break...

Could be your brake wheel cylinder have you looked at it could be only pushing out on 1 side causing the noise that you described

Sounds like the cat is blocked up , had same prob before with an astra same complaints and it also put back pressure into engine drivng oil out of dipstick . try unbolting exhaust before the cat and see if the engine runs better . If it is the cat you can break out the inside to get you moving...

Lifting a freelander is done by spacers ontop of the struts , so yes your going to be 50mm or 40mm higher up depending on the spacers you use . and you don't lift axles on the freelander !!:confused: and you only have to get speedo re-callabrated if you also use bigger wheels to give more of a lift

yeah thats the 1 they goin for about £80 on ebay with the diff pipes to re route , just put a thermostat with center cut out in the original housing and thats job done . Be carefull when tightening bolts on the housing as if you over do it it leaks

do a search for rover thermostat housing and you will find 1 there for £28 second hand or £35 new hope this helps

They also come with new thermost if ya want to keep original
